OBD-II is the diagnostic port found in most modern cars. A compatible Bluetooth adapter makes data exposed by the vehicle available to a nearby computer. Depending on the car, that can include speed, RPM, throttle position, temperatures, battery voltage, and diagnostic trouble codes. The dongle is an adapter, not a new sensor.
While parked, connect a compatible adapter and pair it with your computer. Use the adapter software or a small local bridge to expose a read-only structured data stream. On an October canvas, give one agent access to the stream so it can keep the full vehicle context. Give a second agent the dashboard and let it request only the readings it needs. Add an independent monitoring agent if useful.
