Fovea

Fovea is an experimental, local-first gaze engine from Wega Labs. It uses ordinary cameras, with no special hardware, to explore pointing, focus, selection, and gaze-plus-gesture control as a portable input modality. It is a research project, not a promise about shipping October features.

Why gaze

Where you look is a fast, low-effort signal. Fovea investigates how far that signal can drive real interaction when combined with light gestures, while keeping all processing local to the device rather than sending camera data to a server.

Status

Fovea is an early prototype. Expect rough edges and changing interfaces; the Fovea repository tracks the current direction.
